About the role:   

GoHealth is seeking a highly motivated Senior Network Security Engineer to join our growing security team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. 

What you’ll do:  

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure access controls. 
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate network security risks. 
• Monitor network activity for suspicious behavior and investigate security incidents. 
• Respond to security incidents and implement appropriate containment and remediation actions. 
• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities. 
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures. 
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the organization. 
• Experience working in Enterprise AWS environment (certification preferred)  

What we’re looking for:  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
• 5+ years of experience in network security engineering. 
• Proven experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure access controls. 
• Strong understanding of network security concepts and best practices. 
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems a plus. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Valid security certifications (PCNSE, CCNA Security) a plus.
