Description
Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to be onsite at Warren, Michigan minimum three times per week.
The Role
The EGM for Manufacturing Technology Strategy will lead a diverse team of engineers, focused on developing the strategy for future manufacturing technologies and processes with a strong voice for manufacturing within the product development teams. In this strategic roll, you will define the End of Line testing strategy for manufacturing of future products, define manufacturing requirements, and set equipment standards. You will be part of a dynamic leadership team, that focuses on people to reach our goals. Building relationships with suppliers, cross functional collaboration, and a drive to innovate are key elements to success.
What You'll Do

  • Lead a diverse team of technical experts that define strategic direction for future manufacturing and testing of vehicle electrical systems including the equipment, processes, and product design requirements.
  • Develop and manage suppliers for end of line (EOL) test and calibration equipment.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to achieve products designed for manufacturing and provide a strong voice of GM Manufacturing to product teams.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the sharing of future-oriented lessons learned, best practices, and vehicle insights across Manufacturing Electrical & SDV teams.
  • Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates through future organizational and industry challenges to ensure long-term success.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and developing team members and their careers.
  • Exemplify and instill GM's Core Values and Winning Behaviors with a forward-looking perspective, setting new standards for leadership and teamwork in the era of automotive innovation.


Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience related to Manufacturing processes and project management
  • Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts and technical topics effectively and communicate professionally and concisely to all levels of leadership
  • Strong passion in people development
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills, especially where problems are new and not well defined
  • Experience managing a variety of stakeholders' priorities and feedback


What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with GM vehicle electrical testing and equipment
  • Experience in leading General Assembly and End of Line Testing project teams
  • Master's degree in a technical or managerial discipline
  • Leadership of technical experts
