Provide commercial legal support for Coinbases institutional products across UK and international markets. Negotiate and draft complex institutional finance agreements (prime brokerage, derivatives, securities financing), advise on product lifecycle, regulatory and cross-border legal risk, lead cross-functional legal workstreams, and build scalable commercial processes and risk frameworks to support global growth.

Build and run AI-first processes for legal e-billing and outside counsel management. Administer Brightflag, manage monthly accruals and vendor onboarding, analyze OC spend using SQL/Snowflake/Looker, produce reports and scorecards, and partner with FP&A, Sourcing, and stakeholders to optimize budgets, forecasting, and outside counsel strategy.

Provide advanced litigation paralegal support: manage high-volume domestic and international subpoenas, summons, levies, garnishments, and related third-party requests; communicate with opposing counsel and agencies; prepare and file pleadings for state and federal litigation and arbitrations; improve litigation processes and workflows; and support legal operations projects, tool implementations, and vendor evaluations.

Serve as primary legal partner to product, engineering, and design teams building stablecoins, payments, and crypto infrastructure. Provide full product lifecycle counseling on U.S. and international payments and securities regulations, resolve novel legal issues, partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Finance, and Risk, and build scalable legal processes and playbooks to enable compliant product launches.

Manage Coinbase's defense in securities class actions and shareholder derivative suits. Lead pleadings, discovery, motions, expert work, settlement negotiations, and outside counsel. Advise senior leadership and the board on litigation risk, monitor corporate law developments, and manage D&O insurance relationships.

Serve as second-in-command for Coinbase Derivatives' Market Regulation Department, leading day-to-day regulatory compliance, managing exams and audits, advising on CFTC Core Principles, reviewing surveillance escalations and enforcement actions, and coordinating cross-functional regulatory workstreams to ensure the DCM meets obligations and resolves findings timely.

Provide advanced litigation paralegal support across high-volume, multi-jurisdiction dockets: manage matter tracking, discovery and trial prep, subpoena and third-party request responses, small claims matters, deadline calendaring, outside counsel coordination, and build process/tooling improvements to scale the Litigation team.

Support implementation and execution of the Compliance framework for Coinbase Luxembourg S.A. Perform compliance monitoring, policy maintenance, regulatory reporting, AML/CFT oversight, consumer protection reviews, and provide business advisory and training support.

Serve as AMLCO for Coinbase's Cyprus MiFID entity, owning AML/CFT deliverables and second-line monitoring. Lead regulatory engagement with CySEC and the FIU, build local AML/CFT and compliance policies, and support the Head of Compliance as deputy. Drive testing, remediation, and oversight of onboarding, KYC/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and STR/SAR processes.

Lead legal strategy for Coinbase payments partnerships: draft, negotiate, and execute complex commercial agreements; provide business-centric regulatory guidance; partner cross-functionally to close deals; build scalable commercial playbooks and risk-mitigation strategies; manage a high-volume deal pipeline and coordinate with specialists and outside counsel.
