We are looking for an experienced Workday Prism and Reporting Engineer to deliver capabilities to both HR business and internal Global Process Owners within the Workday ecosystem. This position requires advanced Workday report writing expertise and functional understanding of the data architecture within Workday. This candidate should have a deep knowledge of BIRT, dashboards, embedded analytics, calculated fields and future report specific functionality. The candidate will be part of an agile team responsible for gathering requirements, sizing, testing and planning. Position will engage and gather stakeholder feedback to enhance reporting and metrics represents HR business line in enterprise initiatives, participates in technical design, process workflow and communication discussions.
You will collaborate with IT and HR teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing reporting and analytics products. Additional responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoots business and production issues, performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues
- Design, develop, configure, and test simple to complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite, BIRT) utilizing Workday Report Writer and Report Designer, as well as other organizational tools and available technologies
- Evaluate evolving Workday and Prism reporting functionality to deliver against changing business needs.
- Provide cross-functional understanding of data and support in the validation of new and revised reports.
- Provide technical guidance and develop Reports and Dashboards in Workday and Prism
- Work with technology/security teams to define and create calc fields, security policies and other Workday objects to support the evolving reporting needs of the organization
- Lead efforts to analyze and optimize report performance
- Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting reporting inquires/issues
- Review system upgrades/releases to determine overall business impact, conduct regression testing and make recommendations for future enhancements/functionality
- Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday reporting and best practices
- Governance of a small team of third-party resources to help deliver the above-described responsibilities.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Workday Reporting and Prism experience (includes creating dashboards in Workday)
- Deep knowledge of Workday and Prism data sources and complex calculated fields
- Ability to understand the business requirements, user needs and translate them into operational requirements
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data
- Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability
- Demonstrated experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Superior collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with Workday Extend, Integration tools (e.g. EIB, Studio, etc.), RaaS, WQL, JSON, XML is a plus
- Workday Pro certification in Reporting or Prism Analytics is a plus but not required
