Job Responsibilities
We're looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Cloud DevOps Engineer to help us build and scale our cloud infrastructure from the ground up. In our fast-paced entrepreneurship like environment, you'll play a key role in shaping how we architect, automate, and secure our cloud systems—primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Design and Implement Cloud Solutions
- Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure tailored to business and technical requirements.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot IaC scripts using tools like Opentofu, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
Cloud Platform Management
- Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
Automation and Orchestration
- Automate cloud operations and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Monitoring and Incident Response
- Implement monitoring solutions and respond to incidents, ensuring system reliability and quick recovery from failures.
Security and Compliance
- Enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and vulnerability management, aligned with regulatory requirements.
Cost Optimization
- Analyze cloud usage and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and reduce operational costs.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to support application deployment and troubleshoot cloud-related issues.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures. Educate teams on cloud technologies and best practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance infrastructure efficiency and agility.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Master’s degree is a bonus but not required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience, with strong expertise in GCP.
- GCP Mastery: Deep knowledge of GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.
- IaC Skills: Proficient in Terraform. Experience with GCP Deployment Manager is a plus.
- Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and cloud operations
- CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with GCP-native tools like Cloud Build and Artifact Registry, and Git-based workflows.
- Security & IAM: Solid understanding of IAM, service accounts, and cloud security principles.
- Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with GCP’s operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) for observability.
- Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
- AI Adoption: Good Understanding on Building AI Agents and integrating them with workflows wherever applicable, MCP and A2A communication. Preferable to have understanding on Vertex AI, GCP Agent space and Gemini.
- API Integration: Experience working with GCP APIs and integrating with external systems.
- Entrepreneurship Skills: You’re a self-starter, a great communicator, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
- Certifications (preferred): Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certifications.
