About the role:

OpenWeb is dedicated to empowering publishers with innovative solutions that drive engagement and foster thriving communities. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven VP of Business Development with expertise in selling email advertising solutions to publishers.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Proactively sell email advertising products and solutions to publishers, showcasing the value and ROI these offerings bring to their business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with publishers, understanding their goals, challenges, and audiences to create customized advertising strategies.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by developing tailored proposals and negotiating agreements with publishers.
  • Provide expert guidance to publishers on the best practices and tools for maximizing the performance of email advertising campaigns.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Become an OpenWeb product expert!

The Skills and Experience You Bring:

  • Must have previous experience selling email advertising to publishers and experience with advertising ecosystems.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance metrics and offer data-driven insights.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to join us in our SoHo office 2-3x a week. 

What You'll Get:

Our VP of Business Development, Email compensation package includes an annual salary ranging between $155,000 - $175,000 (based on candidate's experience and skill set). Additionally, this role is eligible for uncapped quarterly commissions, equity and benefits including:
