Role Description:
This role is a hybrid role of sales and marketing which responsible for all marketing/branding activities and selling of Alcon Vision Suite (AVS) and Refractive products in the surgical portfolio. He/she is responsible for promoting the assigned products to HCP in order to achieve the sales target. He/she is required to showcase expertise in demonstrating advanced surgical equipment, adeptly troubleshoot issues, and actively pursue opportunities within the Ophthalmology market.
Apart from that, he/she will develop the marketing strategy and annual plan for the product. Also, he/she will also be responsible for managing the related new product launches, promotional plans, inventory plan etc. Monitor and report on the product status in the market to marketing decisions. KOL development and field travel with surgical sales teams to gain additional market intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Total Alcon sales performance in the territory:
- Diagnostics portfolio: Argos, Verion, and next generation devices
- Visualization portfolio: Luxor Revalia, Ngenuity and next generation devices
- Refractive product portfolio: EX500 Excimer, Wavelight Plus Sightmap and next generation devices
- Gaining sales and market share across Alcon’s digital visualization, microscopy, diagnostic and refractive portfolio across the assigned Territory.
- Proactive collaboration with other sales team members: identifying potential targets and new customers.
- Maintain and develop relationships with Healthcare Professionals and provide necessary Operation Theatre support
- Being the key end-to-end specialist contact for visualization and diagnostic systems
- Work with international marketing team to develop and execute marketing and tactic plans. Drive marketing perception by effective program.
- Be responsible for product pricing and promotional activities. Selling aids and promotional materials creation.
- Work with regional training team on product training and product message delivery.
- Establish, develop and maintain the KOL surgeon relationship.
- Monitor and report the product status in the market and the competitive environment effectively.
- Oversee marketing-initiated program and ensure compliance with policies.
Requirements:
- Strong proactive and hunter mindset, with an ability to collaborate with other Alcon reps to generate leads.
- Highly self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership of their territory as if it were their own business
- Bachelor degree or above (preferable in Science related discipline or Marketing)
- 5-year working experience and 2-year in marketing role in Medical Device/ Pharmaceutical industry
- With Operation Theatre sales experience preferred
- Good command of English and Chinese
- Mandarin is preferred but not essential
- Outstanding business acumen with strong analytical, communication & presentation skills
- Good communication & interpersonal skill
- Strong in stakeholder management with good influencing and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and can work under pressure
- Will be considered as AVS & Refractive Specialist with less experience
