Job Summary:

Repsol Renewables North America is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Procurement to lead our procurement department and oversee all purchasing activities within the Renewables North America organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations. This role requires a visionary and collaborative leader who can develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring cost efficiency, quality assurance, and timely delivery of goods and services.

The Vice President of Procurement will be responsible for managing a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to ensure the department operates effectively and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with other senior executives and department heads to understand their procurement needs, forecast demand, and develop procurement plans accordingly. Your role will also involve analyzing market trends, identifying potential suppliers, and negotiating favorable terms and conditions to optimize procurement outcomes.

The position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Remote candidates will be considered, however our preferred candidate will be based out of the Houston office.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

· Oversee procurement operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

· Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract management.

· Lead and mentor procurement team members, fostering professional growth.

· Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for procurement optimization.

· Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.

· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand and deliver on procurement needs, budgets, and timelines.

· Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

· Minimum of 15 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy procurement management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

· Proven track record of successful procurement strategy development and implementation.

· Demonstrated negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strong level of attention to detail.

· Experience managing procurement budgets and achieving cost savings.

· Knowledge of procurement software systems and tools.

· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
