Job Description:
As a Technician, you will be an integral part of our Value Engineering team, responsible for identifying and implementing BOM data cost-saving initiatives and enhancing product value. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product development, global sourcing, and document systems, to ensure the successful integration of outsourced product data to our internal data source.
Responsibilities:
Product Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of product designs, specifications, and manufactured components to verify the integrity of our BOM data.
Collaborative Problem-Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their specific needs, challenges, and requirements, and contribute valuable insights and recommendations to enhance data integrity.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of given initiatives, identify areas for further improvement, and propose and implement iterative enhancements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of activities and recommended changes to ensure successful integration of data.
Supplier Evaluation: Participate in supplier product evaluation to guarantee data matches our in-market products.
Requirements:
Experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering, manufacturing, or product design is preferred, but recent graduates with strong academic backgrounds and relevant internships will also be considered.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
Team Player: A collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a global diverse team environment.
Initiative: Self-motivated and proactive in identifying areas for improvement and taking action.
Technical Proficiency: Able to fully disassemble and reassemble electronic devices, understanding of a BOM, and identify electrical components.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges and industry trends.
Education:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields.
