Ensures associates safety and process quality by using and implementing safety and process audits.
Prepares the production floor for daily production.
Monitors hourly/daily production.
Review production processes for accuracy and quality requirements.
Train/maintain training of team member in processes.
Monitors team members or production machines for improvement suggestions.
Communicate with associates, supervisors and other key business stakeholders effectively including start of shift meetings, shift turnover communication ex. reports/emails.
Assist with material loading and unloading as necessary from PIT equipment.
May be required to stock lines as needed.
Assists production operators as necessary.
Meets area KPI metrics as assigned by area.
Assists in training associates as needed and offers feedback on performance issues.
Maintains a clean and safe work area through 6S standards.
May plan and organize the execution of daily schedule and staffing needs.
Responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in work area.
Works through conflicts efficiently.
Coaches and addresses policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associates must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs. In addition, associates seeking a higher labor grade may apply without waiting 6 months.)
- Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
- Associates must have no less than 17 UTO hours
- Associates must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
- Associates must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
- A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $43,700 USD - $52,624 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
