Role Description
- The ULL Site Reliability Engineers act as a hands-on technician executing several tasks in relation to the required services within the Service Management environment.
- The SRE Associate role supports the respective functional teams and provides expertise and assistance to ensure effective services are provided by Service Management.
- The expected function of the role is to provide improved performance and availability, with knowledge of and experience in all relevant tools used in the Service Management environment.

Your key responsibilities
- The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide fast-paced support for all electronic trading applications used by business, including -
- Production Issues Troubleshooting and improving systems` reliability
- Support Escalation and communication regarding scheduled maintenance
- Buildout process knowledge documentation (knowledge base)
- The SRE function supports identification / responding / reporting of issues and escalating to respective teams for remediation.
- Improve safety and security of the application, compliance with regulations, policies, and standards, enhance operational readiness, and ease maintenance of the environment.

- Support the bank's audit function in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues to reduce risk. Be responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies and IT security requirements.
Your skills and experience
- At least bachelor’s degree in a technical/Engineering subject or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of application development, lifecycle and maintenance
- Experience of 5-10 years, preferably in Financial/Investment banking domain and supporting front office trading applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Familiarity with production management i.e. capacity management, incident management, change management
- Understand business fundamentals of electronic trading business (preferred).
- Written and verbal communication skills are sufficient to communicate directly with business and technical partners at all levels.
- Systematic, fact-based decision making and problem solving.
- Unix/Linux: Linux skills and some exposure to shell scripting (e.g. bash), Perl and/or Python.
Databases:
- Required – Intermediate: Oracle SQL, KDB knowledge is a big plus.
- Optional – Sybase, MS SQL.
Networks:
- Optional – Intermediate: TCP/IP, UDP, Network monitoring, Low latency networks, multicast, routing.
- Team Player – work with multiple teams, vendors, and groups. Adaptable to working in follow the sun global model and be able work on rotational weekends.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues, work under pressure
- Adaptable and able to quickly learn new processes and/or technologies
