If you’re ready for an exciting new challenge, we have many opportunities for Leading Hands to join our friendly site-based teams, working a Fly-In-Fly-Out roster across Western Australia’s remote sites. Permanent Sodexo Employees receive a daily allowance in addition to their ordinary wages for shifts performed on site.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this position it is essential you have Bus Driving Experience and Supervisory or Leading Hand experience within the transport industry. Have the ability to build and maintain excellent relationships and be able to create a positive engaged culture within your team, one that values safety at the forefront.
Our transport team work off tablets and App software therefore you will need to be computer & systems Savvy. It would be highly regarded if you have exposure to FIFO or remote bus driving services. It is essential you also hold a HR - PTD authorisation and have experience driving buses.
The role will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Supervising a team of bus drivers,
- Monitoring and supporting with daily runs,
- Rostering of drivers' schedules,
- Overseeing the servicing and maintenance of the buses
- Ordering of stock for the transport and bus driving team.
Reporting to the Transport Supervisor and Village Manager, as the Transport Leading Hand you will run pre-start meetings, ensure training records are up to date and new drivers are trained to correct practices. This position will support the team with adhoc troubleshooting and further escalations.
