As a Transport Coordinator within the Procurement organization, you are responsible for the secure supply of spares and consumables to the DEME Fleet and Projects, worldwide. Thorough administration, follow up on the planning and clear communication with stakeholders are key to success.Your responsibilities

Shipping a variety of supplies from DEME Head Quarters and Laydowns to the DEME Fleet and Projects worldwide;

Organizing scheduled transports and specific request from our internal clients for in-full and on-time delivery;

Coordination of each shipment between the internal client, the agent, custom agent, warehouse, and forwarder;

The operational follow-up and the administration of the transports owned by yourself, as there are the ordering transport services, processing logistics administration (pro- forma invoices, packing lists, DGD …), ensure proper custom registration and administer dangerous goods etc.;

Process contracted purchase orders or request offers from selected logistic partners and find the best solution (economic and within schedule).
Your profile

You have a few years of experience in the logistics world, preferrable with multi-modal means of transport (air, road, sea);

You have proper knowledge of legislation relating road, air or maritime transport;

You have basic knowledge of customs import regulations;

Knowledge of regulations on dangerous goods is of added value;

You like administration and are accurate;

You communicate professionally with stakeholders by mail and phone;

You strive for structure and planning in an everchanging maritime environment;

You are solution-driven and resilient, effectively managing pressure while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional service and establishing necessary boundaries to ensure sustainable support;

You are fluent in Dutch and English.
