Trade Finance Accountant (f/m/x)

To protect value with strong governance this position plays a critical role in providing financial accounting, reporting & planning, Risk Management & Internal Control, Digital tools management. The position incumbent needs to deliver periodic close of GSV/NSV, Trade Terms accounting. The position also contributes to the expansion of digital tools with the unit and the region, moreover global digitalization especially for Trade Promotion Management tools (TPM).
What would be your key responsibilities?
Governance & Control
-
Validate customer data/contracts in the TPM tool and collaborate with Sales to make sure all processes are delivered on-time (invoice approval, promotional deals approval) and recorded accurately in the system.

Ensure that the trade budgets are managed accurately and at the appropriate level of detail in the system and support SDL to ensure spending is in line with guidelines via regular (quarterly) budget reviews with the Sales Team (incl Sales Leadership).

Oversee and Lead Trade Accrual Management, Governance and Communication.

Partner with local Business Partners and Sales Teams.

Backup for required CAS finance approvals.

Support the Units Sales Leadership and Regional Controllership Team for Internal and External Audits on Trade Fund Management.

Keep updated process maps and Work Instructions, create for whole scope.
Period-Close

Deliver period-end closing in TPM tool, from GSV to NSV, incl Accrual Management and communication to stakeholders in the unit and MGSF.

Maintain and Support further development of digital tools/reporting.

Ensure adherence to all corporate policies and guidelines pertaining to internal controls with the respect to the trade budget in collaboration with the Regional Controllership Team.

Reconciliation of selected Balance Sheet Accounts in BlackLine.

Perform reconciliation between finance systems.
Planning and Analysis

Support the units Sales Finance Business Partners in Trade Budget generation and allocation

Support the volume to value planning for the unit.
Continuous Improvements
-
As Finance Power user drive the TPM tool (CAS/Compass), supporting master data management, proper use of the tool by all populations and leading projects which will improve the system.

Supporting implementation and maintenance of TPM system as Key User

Continue digitalization for Trade and Accruals related processes in the unit, partnering with local Data analysis and Systems team.
What are we looking for?
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance/economics/business administration.
-
3-5 years of diversified financial management experience, including forecasting, planning & accounting.

Work experience in Order to Cash / TREX, especially connected with customer’s rebates, sales support or order management is welcome,

Ability to be exposed to finance senior management,
-
Advanced Excel, basic SAP & Analysis for Excel (former BW).

Ability to manage internal / external audit requests,
-
Strong focus on process ownership, problem solving and collaboration.

Demonstrated analytical capabilities.

Fluent English is a must.
