Overview:
The Technical Equipment Group (TEG) offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your career within Intel while supporting world-changing technology that improves lives globally. This role combines equipment engineering expertise with module engineering responsibilities, serving as both an Equipment Specialist mentor and critical equipment owner.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Leadership & Mentoring:
- Act as Equipment Specialist mentor, enhancing team capabilities and driving operational excellence within manufacturing equipment processes
- Drive systemic fixes to improve overall USDT and MTBA for modules at PGAT
- Develop hard-down fix strategies and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Equipment & Process Ownership:
- Own critical high-volume manufacturing equipment and processes enabling rapid device miniaturization and mass production of integrated circuits
- Conduct tests and measurements to ensure control over critical dimensions and defectivity of production lines
- Execute maintenance and repair activities for equipment and relevant module components
Process Optimization & Development:
- Recommend and implement equipment modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and optimize output while meeting safety, quality, and cost targets
- Own process development activities aligned to high-volume process nodes
- Develop and optimize excursion prevention systems for equipment and processes
Technology Transfer & Global Support:
- Scale manufacturing capacity to high volumes and transfer technology to global manufacturing sites
- Participate in technology transfer through training and audit of installation/qualification outcomes
- Support factory ramps through equipment installation/conversion and qualification
Quality & Analytics:
- Detect discrepant materials or equipment/process activities
- Demonstrate solid data analytics to communicate complex data in actionable ways
- Drive key performance indicators (safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, yield)
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams and equipment suppliers
- Handle ambiguity with critical problem-solving skills in rapidly changing environments
- Work independently with minimal supervision while driving indicators
Minimum Qualifications:
- Engineering/Technical Degree
- L3 equipment certification for module (mandatory)
- At least 2 years of factory operations experience but fresh graduates with exceptional qualifications may be considered
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Proven record in solving hard-down issues at module level
- Project management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current or prior module engineer experience
- Experience in people management/mentoring
- Industry-relevant job experience, internships, and/or academic research
- Fresh graduates with exceptional qualifications may be considered
