Leidos is seeking a Technical Solution Engineering Lead for our Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Practice Area, located in Reston, VA.
In this role, you will define and execute the technical solution engineering strategy leading to sales of the DCO Practice Area capabilities for the Digital Modernization Sector in collaboration with practice area leadership, as well as Leidos Office of Technology (OOT) leaders (CIO, CISO, Sector CTOs). You will drive revenue growth by drawing on your deep technical knowledge and proven success selling DCO products, services, and solutions to new and existing customers.
You will foster strong relationships built on trust, expertise, and understanding of government needs to ensure that the practice area’s repeatable offerings meet customer needs. This requires you to drive thought leadership by staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
No initial clearance is required to start; however, you must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. (US Citizenship required).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Package and participate in the sell through motion of the DCO Practice Area’s repeatable offerings, tailored for customer needs by collaborating with the Office of Technology, BD, Account Management and Leidos sectors.
- Drive revenue growth and expand the practice area’s footprint in the government contracting space.
- Manage all aspects of the engineering sales cycle, including conducting regular client engagements and supporting relevant pipeline reviews with key stakeholders.
- Support development and execution of DCO sales strategy by identifying target customers, cultivating relationships, and positioning our solutions to meet government needs.
- Maintain thought leadership through a deep understanding of up-to-date DCO trends and emerging technologies.
- Stay informed about availability and capabilities of all Digital Modernization Practice Areas repeatable offerings, continuously updating knowledge of our larger teams’ capabilities as they apply to emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Apply technical expertise to identify and recommend solutions within DCO Practice that align with customer needs as well as cyber adversary trends.
- Communicate with internal and external parties to drive awareness of the most recent technical capabilities and repeatable offerings being developed by the practice area.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant Master’s degree (preferred) or equivalent training experiences and 15+ years’ experience in areas of cyber security operations, architecture, engineering, including prototyping and integration of new capabilities, with a demonstrated history of successfully tailoring solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Extensive experience in managing and leading all phases of the engineering sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closure.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating the value propositions and benefits of the practice area's repeatable offerings.
- Strong commitment to understanding customer needs and preferences, ensuring solutions align closely with their strategic objectives and deliver tangible business outcomes.

Pay Range:Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
