Technical Sales Engineer

South of England

4 days travel, 1 day at home

Purpose of Role: Technical Sales Engineer is a field-based role to cover (Area) of England and offers a unique opportunity to become a key member of a new, dynamic and goal-oriented team growing the Key Accounts in some of the largest Sand & Aggregate market worth over 10m of business a year with the potential to contribute to the growth of the current defined territories

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

  • The ability to grow bottom-up business with new customers with a proactive approach to selling

  • Represent Weir in-front of the customer whist offering technical guidance & product demonstrations

  • Problem solving and optimisation on our customer’s plants

  • Maintain the CRM system for opportunities and sales pipeline

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Proven Track record in External technical Sales Role 

  • Engineering Qualification or experience in the application-based sales

    • Have a good working knowledge of the key related industries including sand and gravel, Mineral processing, industrial applications and solution selling

    • Proven Track record in External technical Sales Role 

Must be permanently authorised to work in the country to which you are applying, without sponsorship, have a full UK driving licence and fluent in English.

Skills Required

  • Proven track record in external technical sales
  • Engineering qualification or equivalent application-based sales experience
  • Working knowledge of sand and gravel, mineral processing, and industrial applications
  • Ability to grow business with new customers and deliver solution selling
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Fluent in English
  • Permanently authorised to work in the country without sponsorship
