Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Offshore Development Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be playing a pivotal role in overseeing the successful development and execution of our offshore wind farm projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing various technical aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, health & safety and quality standards, while also addressing any challenges or obstacles that may arise during the course of the project. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Providing strategic guidance and direction to cross-functional teams involved in planning, engineering, procurement, and construction activities
- Leading the development of comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for the offshore wind farm project
- Overseeing project execution, monitoring progress, managing milestones, and ensuring adherence to timelines, health & safety, and quality standards
- Providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, site assessments, design reviews, and construction phases
- Serving as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, contractors, and suppliers
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols, risk management procedures, and environmental mitigation measures to protect personnel, assets, and the environment
- Supporting the procurement activities for main packages, equipment, materials, and services required for offshore wind farm construction
- Providing oversight and direction for offshore wind farm construction activities and monitoring its progress
- Facilitating the transition from construction to operations phase, ensuring a seamless handover of project assets to O&M team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Strong technical background in wind energy systems, including turbine technology, electrical systems, and off- and onshore infrastructure
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the renewable energy sector with a focus on offshore wind projects
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion, meeting deadlines and budget constraints
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, environmental considerations, and safety protocols relevant to offshore wind farm development
- Flexibility to travel to project sites and work in challenging offshore environments as needed.
