How you'll make an impact:
Technical Fluency
Manage the execution of internal tooling initiatives and platform migration/consolidation projects, including improvements to development workflows, automation systems, and application/service modernization.
Collaborate with application architects, platform engineers, data specialists, and internal tooling teams to document project scope, milestones, and success criteria.
Develop detailed work breakdown structures, execution plans, and project roadmaps for tooling enhancements, system consolidation efforts, and cross-platform migrations.
Oversee project and sub-initiative execution that streamlines internal platforms, standardizes tooling across teams, and improves operational efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Partner with platform and tooling engineering teams to ensure seamless migration, deployment, and operational readiness of internal systems and shared services.
Coordinate efforts across engineering and security teams to modernize shared tools, integrate authentication and authorization systems, and ensure internal services meet compliance and governance requirements.
Manage dependencies related to application routing, service integrations, environment configurations, and monitoring/logging toolchains to support reliable and consistent internal operations.
Program Planning/Continuous Planning: Based on Product and Technology leadership direction and priorities, facilitate ongoing planning sessions and huddles to ensure continuous alignment with business goals within and across your portfolio. This will require close cross-functional partnership with technology team leaders, solution architects, and product partners. Ensure alignment of program increments with overall business goals and priorities. Encourage adaptive planning within the project team to respond to changing delivery and project requirements.
Program Management: Own and drive end-to-end technical implementation projects and workstreams as assigned. You’ll create detailed work breakdowns, milestones, risks, and deliverables for key project initiatives, and execute project plans in partnership with engineering leadership. On an ongoing basis, support and execute against the team's enhancement roadmap for systems, tools, and processes.
Execution Management: In support of the Tech Lead, monitor progress and recommend necessary adjustments to surface risks of program execution to key stakeholders in a targeted and timely way, with the goal of course correction. Facilitate these course corrections, as needed.
Stakeholder and Change Management: Engage with stakeholders - Technology, Product, Solution Architecture, among others - to ensure visibility, provide updates, and address concerns. Facilitate communication between teams, ensuring transparency and alignment. Provide clear, consistent, and timely information flow and reports out on status. Work collaboratively at project and stakeholder levels to facilitate and enable change to support new ways of working and modern technology architectures.
Risk Management: Identify technical risks related to implementation considerations for assigned projects. Assist in developing mitigation strategies with technical partners.
Dependency Management: Identify, document, and track dependencies within the scope of your projects and across adjacent teams. Proactively coordinate with stakeholders to ensure dependencies are clearly understood and addressed.
Tooling and Data Hygiene: Accordingly, ensure the use of standard project management tools - ideally within the Atlassian suite - and maintain high standards of data hygiene to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. Support accurate and transparent reporting and on-target capitalization within the organization through data stewardship.
Delivery and Outcome Tracking: Track project performance against the committed plan and goals. Use data and metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement at the project level.
