This role is well‑suited for someone looking to develop practical experience in tax and cost basis resolution while working closely with experienced partners across the organization. As a Tax Resolution Analyst, you will support and manage assigned tax and cost basis cases, helping ensure client inquiries are researched thoroughly, communicated clearly, and resolved accurately.
What You’ll Do- Manage a portfolio of assigned tax and cost basis cases, working through each case from intake to resolution with guidance and established procedures.
- Communicate with internal partners, third‑party vendors, and clients using clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Accept inbound client calls from assigned open cases.
- Research and analyze client inquiries to help identify appropriate next steps, escalating issues when needed to ensure timely and compliant resolution.
- Maintain accurate case documentation and client records in CRM systems.
- Explain tax and cost basis concepts in a clear, approachable way based on the audience and situation.
- Follow defined workflows and service standards while applying judgment in situations that require additional review or support.
- Identify recurring issues or process opportunities and share observations with the team.
- Participate in team huddles, training sessions, and ongoing process‑improvement discussions.
- Support special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses are required at time of application.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in tax, cost basis, or brokerage operations.
- At least 3 years of general professional experience, with exposure to brokerage operations, client service, or issue resolution preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple cases.
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills, with comfort working within established guidelines.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client experience and accuracy.
- Meaningful client impact: Help resolve tax and cost basis issues that matter to clients’ financial outcomes.
