About The Department
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional specification.
- Lead discussions with business and IT stakeholders to define solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and business goals.
- Collaborate with Functional Business Analysts (FBAs), Solution Architects, and end users to design and enhance application functionality.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis to assess alignment with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform impact analysis to identify affected systems and coordinate with relevant application teams for assessments.
- Facilitate walkthrough sessions of solution designs with stakeholders, including FBAs, testing teams (TCoE), and business users.
- Review and validate technical design specifications and perform critical code reviews to ensure quality and compliance with design standards.
- Support the design of high-level test strategies and ensure test coverage for critical business functions.
- Collaborate with relevant teams during system integration, user acceptance, regression, and performance testing phases.
- Provide guidance to testers and users on system configurations, including card parameter setup and end-to-end reconciliation processes.
- Manage defect triaging and resolution in collaboration with development and testing teams.
- Deliver post-implementation support and troubleshoot functional issues as needed.
- Identify, document, and escalate project or process risks to ensure timely mitigation.
Job Requirements
- At least 6 years of System Analysis work or equivalent Cards Functional Domain experience, cards payment networks, preferably with 6-9 years of working experiences in Cardlink/Vision Plus.
- Specialization in Core Issuing Functions and expert in at least 5 of the following core card issuing functions:
- Revolving retail and cash interest processing
- Instalment interest calculations
- Fees and charges
- Monetary financial posting
- Billing and minimum amount due
- Cards GL interface
- Payment and payment reversal
- Payment hierarchy
- Delinquency and charge-off
- Dispute-related transaction posting
- Proven experience as a System Analyst or similar role in Cards Application environments.
- Recent Cards Domain Exposure – Hands-on experience working directly with Cards Applications within the last 2 years is required.
- Strong understanding of the card product lifecycle, card management processes, and the broader card payment ecosystem.
- Practical experience with Cards online and batch interfaces, including familiarity with related processes.
- Ability to take the System Analyst lead role on projects, typically starting prior to the Build phase.
- Project Engagement Flexibility – capability to support multiple projects, when one project is on a non-critical phase for SA support.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining a holistic view of system and business impacts.
- Experience working closely with development teams, system architects, Functional Business Analysts (FBAs), and senior stakeholders.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations for non-technical and senior audiences.
