Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and GenAI-savvy Software Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in Java and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate is curious, ready to learn, learns from mistakes, and is open to listening and learning from colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software in Java based on the project's needs.

  • Utilize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to ensure quality and efficiency in our software development process.

  • Leverage GenAI capabilities to optimize software solutions and drive innovation.

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Troubleshoot issues and bugs and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.

  • Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house courses.

  • Foster a learning environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Actively seek feedback from colleagues and use it for personal and professional development.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in software development with Java and docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Familiarity or experience with GenAI.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A curious nature with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to learn from mistakes and apply lessons to future challenges.
- Willingness to listen and learn from colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 73,400.00 to 103,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
