Job Description

- Responsible for establishing, implementing & maintaining the Tooling Management System and KPIs

- Ensure the Tooling team is analyzing the design/development/manufacturability of new injection molded, die cast, and sheet metals

- Champion the Design for Manufacturing and ensure optimization and mitigation measures of tooling

- Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to ensure on-time development and start-up of of new molds/tools and parts manufacturing processes

- Carry out FOT activities at suppliers to approve tooling and address issues real time

- Actively participate in sourcing board for tooling related suppliers

- Ensure technical capability audits are being performed when qualifying new tooling suppliers

- Ensure new, transfer, second source tooling review as well as buy off and qualification are being conducted for tooling

- Managing & lead Supplier’s critical tooling issues, drive fast resolution & prevention

Basic Requirements

- Candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

- More than 7 years working experience in Tooling Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering or Development Engineering

- Extensive experience in Tooling design and fabrication, Plastic molding, Die casting, Metal stamping

- Good written & verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal skills

- Self motivated & passionate to drive zero defect quality culture

- Good problem solving knowledge & able to work independently

- Strong leadership skill
