Job Profile Summary
The Supervisor – Scheduling, Crude Oil Gathering is responsible for leading daily scheduling operations and supporting a team of Schedulers to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable crude oil movement across pipelines, terminals, and storage assets. This role provides operational oversight and team leadership to support safe, efficient, and reliable transportation, while maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
The Supervisor collaborates closely with commercial, operations, measurement, accounting, and producers to manage inventory levels, pipeline capacity, and delivery schedules, while supporting the objectives of the broader Crude Oil Commercial organization and promoting a collaborative culture aligned with ONEOK’s Core Values.
The role is responsible for advancing process improvements, supporting system optimization, ensuring delivery commitments are met in a safe and cost-effective manner, and maintaining operational continuity through effective coordination of team coverage and cross-training to support consistent performance and service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and direct employees performing proration, scheduling, nominations, blending and confirmation activities to ensure accurate and timely execution
Develop and maintain departmental procedures, coordinate team coverage (including PTO) and manage employee hiring processes in collaboration with Human Resources
Manage employee performance by communicating expectations, addressing concerns, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with Human Resources
Coordinate the initiation, scheduling, review, and monitoring of nominations to optimize system flows, maintain pipeline integrity and maximize asset utilization
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage scheduling and balancing positions across pipelines, terminals and storage facilities; provide feedback to commercial representatives regarding product flow and system constraints
Partner with other internal departments and stakeholders on current and future projects to ensure inventory impacts and operational considerations are addressed
Serve as a key point of contact with control center representatives, customers, operators, producers, pipeline companies, commercial teams, internal stakeholders regarding nominations, allocations, billing, imbalances, daily flow, growth projects and/or operational orders
Support emergency response readiness, including development of response and coverage plans
Compile, prepare, review, and analyze information and reports including but not limited to:
Allocations
Administration of exchange and operational balancing agreements
Nominations and confirmations
Pricing and settlement inputs
Flow rates and capacity constraints
Power optimization initiatives
Measurement discrepancies
Storage balances and customer inventory positions
Customer notifications Actual Usage – Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM)
Ticketing and invoicing
Month-end closing processes
Education
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration, accounting, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related knowledge or experience
Work Experience
Experience and thorough knowledge of nomination and scheduling of pipeline products, terminals or storage facilities
Experience analyzing and resolving issues and/or questions concerning scheduling, nominations, balancing, and allocations
Experience reading and interpreting applicable contracts, agreements, reports, statements, invoices, confirmations, correspondence, tariffs, government regulations, industry standards, customer notifications, and company policies and procedures
Experience composing and preparing balancing reports, volume summaries, confirmations, reports, pipeline postings, storage reports, and customer notifications
Experience training, directing, and/or supervising; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures
Experience collaborating, advising, and communicating effectively
Experience in use and function of software applications and microcomputers and applicable software
Experience and/or training related to:
