Job DescriptionThe intern will be expected to work 40 hours a week during the summer with an option to work an average of 10 to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. Primary activities will be supporting mineral resource estimations and geologic data compilation. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of experienced geology & engineering staff in these areas.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have the following:
- Must be working toward a bachelor of science or advanced degree in geology or geological engineering
- Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft office suite. GIS and 3D modeling software is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively in writing and orally, and be self-motivated.
Compensation: Hourly wage depends on education and experience, range is $21-$26/hour, plus statutory insurance requirements.
