The Role

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose: Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business. Join a cross-functional team that helps the organization understand how to prioritize from a technology perspective. Gain a strong understanding of how things fit together and understanding the organization from a big picture standpoint.

  • Work cross-functionally to learn more about the broad part of technology departments within the organization
  • Relationship management is nice to have, as this is a visible role within the department
  • Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
  • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
  • Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management
  • Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
  • Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period. It is nice if you have prior work experience.
Pay: $21.00/hr - $30.00/hr

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
