Become part of the ENERTRAG team at one of our locations, preferably in Berlin, but also in Hamburg, Dauerthal or remotely as a Strategic Consultant (f/m/d) and let's advance the energy transition together.
This role is an essential position in our Commercial Centre of Competence. You will work directly with interdisciplinary teams on exciting strategic projects and analyses, investigate and evaluate new business and project ideas and help us to optimally develop our projects from a commercial perspective.
- Work closely with the finance team and our project developers to gather and understand knowledge and requirements on different sectors (e.g., renewables, green hydrogen, battery storage).
- Develop new methods and tools in iterative collaboration to strengthen ENERTRAG's commercial assessment and governance of projects, e.g. through project benchmarking and effective decision templates, and develop implementation processes.
- Develop presentations on commercial analyses for effective preparation and visualisation of results and present them to our management (incl. board).
- Support the strategy process for our country organisations in close coordination with the senior leadership from the countries.
- Research market trends, regulatory developments and policy changes that offer new commercialisation opportunities or impact existing ones.
- Analyse new commercial approaches and ideas and perform profitability calculations and scenario analyses.
Qualifications
- Degree in economics (economics, business administration) or engineering with advanced knowledge of economics.
- Two to three years of professional experience, ideally in management consulting or financial advisory.
- Strong analytical skills for quantitative problem solving and a structured approach to analysing commercial issues, including the ability to make initial estimates based on the 80/20 rule.
- Present results in a clear and understandable manner. Very good MS Office skills required, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Successful experience of working across teams and stakeholder management.
- Sound knowledge of valuation techniques, especially in performing discounted cash flow (DCF) calculations.
- Good knowledge of the market for renewable energy and PtX products as well as the relevant legal and political framework.
