About the Role:
We currently have an excellent opportunity for Storepersons to join our Parts Team based in Lae Business Centre.
This role primarily exists to pick, pack, store and dispatch materials within the warehouse in a safe, efficient manner to meet contractual and business requirements.
Reporting to the Parts Supervisor, your competency and experience will include:
- Ensure safety goals are achieved through personal commitment, no harm to self or others and participation in safety initiatives.
- Ensure customer expectations and service standards are understood and delivered within agreed timeframes
- Maintain and maximise efficiency within the warehouse through the effective team participation of the put away and picking functions, ensuring system inventory accuracy and system targets are met or exceeded
- Assist in the success of the warehouse function by participating in general warehouse activities including stock takes, maintenance, improvements, allocation of work directed from leading hand, administration, generation of information required for monthly reordering consumables and taking appropriate action where required
About You
- Tertiary Qualifications in Business or related discipline
- Grade 12 school certificate is desirable
- Licences: Vehicle, Forklift, Overhead Crane and Dogging preferable
- Minimum five years’ experience in the warehousing, computerised warehouse area utilizing an ERP based system, including safety, inventory control, receipting and dispatching.
- Past experience in a similar role
