State Operations Senior Manager

The Democratic National Committee is seeking a State Operations Senior Manager to support our ongoing mission of empowering Democrats up and down the ballot. The State Operations Senior Manager will coordinate across multiple departments, including Operations, Accounting, Human Resources and IT to maintain and support operational processes and ensure that the DNC is an essential contributor to maintaining an effective state infrastructure. Critical for success is an interest in the mission of the DNC, strong sense of personal initiative, respect for the sensitivity and confidentiality of information, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a high stakes environment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Collaborate with Technology, HR, Legal, Accounting and DEI to assist and ensure the timely execution of operations processes
• Support the recruiting, hiring and onboarding systems for coordinated program staff
• Support the procurement of services, supplies and materials necessary for operations
• Assist in the process of management of state offices 
• Assist with the creation, promotion and management of DNC operations-related campaign systems, resources and training
• Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission

Qualifications:

• You have at least one cycle of general campaign experience and at least one cycle of campaign operations experience with previous statewide operations experience (strongly preferred)
• You have 3-4 years of work experience; preferably in operations 
• You have strong people management abilities
• You have strong organizational skills, communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work. 
• Comfortable working across multiple software platforms
• Based in or willing to move to Washington, DC

The State Operations Senior Manager position will require travel, which could be up to 10% of the time.

The starting salary for the State Operations Senior Manager position is $85,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
