Staff Accountant

We’re looking for an accountant who’s comfortable balancing technical expertise with direct client interaction. In this role, you’ll guide clients through onboarding, organize and optimize their accounting systems, and ensure accurate financial reporting across a variety of industries.

• Prepare accurate financial statements on an accrual basis.
• Reconcile accounts across banks, credit cards, merchant services, and loans.
• Clean up and set up client accounting systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee multiple onboarding projects at the same time, meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Leverage cloud-based accounting tools (QuickBooks Online, Xero, A2X, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, etc.) to streamline workflows.
• Spot and raise scope changes early with onboarding managers.

• 1–3 years of accounting experience, ideally at a small or mid-sized CPA firm.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Background working with multiple clients across different industries.
• Strong English communication skills (C1 level or higher).
• Prior experience in a client-facing role, preferably with onboarding.
• QuickBooks Online certification is helpful but not required.
• Experience with e-commerce accounting is highly valued.

• Compensation: $3,000–$4,000 USD/month.
• Paid time off: 120 hours in year one + 5 sick days; unlimited PTO starting year two.
