Job title: Sr. Web UI/ Accessibility SME
Location: Austin, TX (onsite hybrid)
Duration: 12+ months
Core Responsibilities
- Perform accessibility evaluations of web applications and document findings with actionable recommendations
- Directly remediate accessibility issues by writing and fixing code
- Review and advise on design, code, and content for accessibility compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles
Required Skills
- Web Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and/or Angular
- Accessibility Standards: Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.x guidelines and WAI-ARIA
- Assistive Technology Testing: Hands-on experience with VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA
- Code Remediation: Strong ability to implement accessible solutions and fix accessibility defects
- Communication: Excellent collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience: 3+ years in web accessibility engineering
- Someone who would able to advise (being an SME)
