Join our dynamic team as a Sr. SQL/Tableau Engineer, where you'll play a critical role in managing and analyzing data to support business decisions. We're seeking a candidate with a solid background in SQL, Tableau, and Rego OPA to develop, analyze, and visualize data, providing insights for technical and business analysis.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a SQL developer, data analyst, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with a deep understanding of database concepts and administration.
- Fluent English
- Extensive experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Online, and Tableau Public.
- Knowledge of policy-as-code solutions, specifically Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego Language. (Desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Excel with advanced skills in data analysis, sorting, filtering, and creating pivot tables.
- Intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms with at least 18-24 months of experience in coding and scripting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in Tableau or any SQL database are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. (Desirable)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage complex SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and triggers across various database platforms, including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Create, maintain, and optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for technical and business analysis, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
- Develop and maintain data models to support business requirements, ensuring data integrity and consistency across multiple databases.
- Implement policy-based authorization solutions using Open Policy Agent (OPA) and Rego Language.
- Generate periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly, or custom) for technical assessments and management overviews, including trend analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- Utilize MS Excel to validate and analyze data, creating complex pivot tables, charts, and leveraging functions like VLOOKUP.
- Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms, including coding and scripting, with experience in Terraform/Ansible.
- Work with a variety of chart types in Tableau, creating custom visualizations to meet business needs.
