Job Description:
•Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for a defined category scope including, but not limited to raw materials, 3rd Party manufacturing, indirect goods and services.
•Provide end-to-end sourcing support to local country NPIs. Drive cost competitive solution to support business growth. Establish successful sourcing story for cost/growth in country, for potential replication opportunities to Global 3M
•Ability to navigate and interpret complex technical content to effectively translate technical requirements to vendors and develop robust should-cost models.
•Work closely with BSC, MFG, Lab and Quality team for BCC country NPI projects. Coordinate closely with Global Category Management teams to align sourcing plans with technical and operational needs.
•Conduct onsite supplier evaluations to assess supplier capability, adherence to ISO9001, and ensure alignment with 3M’s Supplier Responsibility Code.
•Utilize total cost of ownership and risk analysis tools to build data driven business cases to support source of supply changes and ensure supply chain resilience.
•Analyze purchasing data, inventory, and consumption trends to identify sourcing opportunities.
•Leverage strong project management and change management skills to drive opportunities.
•Communicate and influence usage of BCC suppliers to Category Managers as part of overall category strategies. Drive Cost Reduction for BCC suppliers under management
•Manage suppliers through continued engagement while they exist in local supply chain.
•Recommend sources for review and approval through Sourcing Board
