- We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll team. This role focuses on managing payroll operations for multiple APAC countries, including India, Japan, China, and Taiwan, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in APAC payroll processing and year-end activities, with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn new country payrolls.
- End-to-End Payroll Management for APAC countries (India, Japan, China, Taiwan), including monthly processing, statutory filings, and year-end activities.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and GDPR requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and other cross-functional teams to resolve payroll-related issues and maintain data integrity.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives and support payroll operations for other regions as needed.
- Assist in process improvements, automation, and standardization of global payroll practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of country-specific compliance requirements and implement changes promptly.
- Reconciles payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
- Addressing issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
- Preparing reports for upper management, finance department etc.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in APAC payroll processing and year-end activities.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance for India, Japan, China, and Taiwan.
- Familiarity with GDPR and global data privacy standards.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel; experience with global payroll platforms is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to cross-train and learn payroll for new countries.
- Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and time zones.
