Detailed Job Description for Network Ops GCP/Core Network, Firewall, Load Balancing
  • Ensure stable and reliable ISP network services (e.g. access products, service networks and
  • core network).
  • Day to day network performance monitoring.
  • Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.
  • Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
  • Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes.
  • Installation of network hardware and software.
  • The Network Operations Engineer will offer Level 2 and Level 3 Network Support that includes operation and change management.
  • The Engineer fulfils the request for Network Devices, Firewalls, Load balancing and Optimization.
  • The professional will examine, evaluate and monitor the incoming network change requests.
  • Participate in a 24x7 call out as per ROTA.

What You will bring
  • 5+ years overall experience in multiple cloud environments
  • Minimum 2 3 years Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience and in a client facing role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical stakeholders within the business for operational, project and deployment activities have an appreciation of the risk associated with supporting a high profile network environment

Skills Required

  • 5+ years overall experience in multiple cloud environments
  • 2-3 years Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience in a client-facing role
  • Level 2 and Level 3 network support experience (core network, ISP services)
  • Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and network device configuration
  • Network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, fault analysis and hardware repair
  • Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools
  • Experience applying configuration changes via change control systems and processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders
  • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation (ROTA)
