About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting Product Manager to lead the delivery of features that require integration across business operations, processes, and technology. This position is integral to shaping the product strategy, driving cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring seamless execution of the product roadmap. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, manage project delivery timelines, and oversee the product development lifecycle—from design through release. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with diverse teams, and a relentless focus on delivering business value.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Strategic Planning & Operations: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, expand Uber Freight’s Final Mile delivery network, and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of multiple delivery stations and logistics hubs across Illinois, ensuring smooth operations, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality across all sites, ensuring operational excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance the customer experience.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a large team of operations managers, supervisors, and support staff. Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Talent Acquisition & Retention: Recruit, train, and retain top talent to meet the region’s operational needs and support growth.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for delivery accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaboration with Internal Stakeholders: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, product teams, and other regional managers to align operations with business priorities.
- External Partner Collaboration: Work with external partners, including delivery service providers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Uber Freight policies across the region. Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate operational and safety risks.
- Technology Adoption & Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in logistics and supply chain management. Champion the adoption of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and the customer experience.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or at least five years of experience in middle-mile and last-mile operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to oversee local and regional sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics, operations management, or supply chain management.
- Successful track record of managing large-scale operations across multiple sites and regions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.
- Experience in managing and mentoring operational teams to achieve goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement techniques.
- Experience working with a contingent workforce, especially during peak seasons.

New York: The salary range for this role is $141,075 to $187,053 a year.
California: The salary range for this role is $141,075 to $187,053 a year.
Colorado: The salary range for this role is $128,250 $170,500 a year.
Washington: The salary range for this role is $141,075 to $187,053 a year.
Illinois: The salary range for this role is $128,250 $170,500 a year.
Minnesota: The salary range for this role is $115,145 to $153,461 a year.
