The Sr. Engineer, AI Solutions is pivotal in pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence into our software development lifecycle, focusing on creating and customizing AI-powered tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality. The ideal candidate will also be a key contributor to our product, responsible for designing and developing intelligent, user-facing features that leverage the latest advancements in AI. You will be a key driver of AI adoption, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and practical, impactful software applications.
BASE RANGE: ¥289,700 - ¥434,500 + BONUS
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Continuously research, evaluate, and prototype with the latest AI-powered software development tools
- Drive the integration and adoption of AI tools within our engineering team's workflows, IDEs, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop bespoke AI-powered tools and scripts to solve unique challenges faced by our software engineering team.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to conceptualize, design, and implement new AI-driven features for our end-users.
- Develop robust, scalable, and production-ready AI services and applications.
- Conduct regular, self-guided study to stay current on new and existing technologies, particularly in areas related to code intelligence, LLMs, and generative AI.
- Participate and understand the development build, deployment, and monitoring processes with an emphasis on security, performance and scalability.
- Write design documentation, as needed
- Be an active participant in the day-to-day Scrum activities of the team including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role, with a proven track record of shipping production code.
- Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with common machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
- Demonstrable experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, API integration (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic), and understanding of transformer architectures.
- Practical experience using modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, API design, and experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into concrete technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborating within a cross-functional team.
