Role Purpose
To utilize technology/domain/product expertise to ensure and facilitate effective design of processes / sub processes/ tools/ system to align with sub functions/ business unit vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities with brief description according to priority

  • Package Layout Plan
  • Digital Assembly / Evaluation

Tasks:
  • Top-Hat Development
  • Invite & lead alignment for a convergence on issues on working level, also considering the VA internal requirements (like ergonomics and dimensional concept) and styling data
  • Technical balance of zone internal topics together with styling technic convergence
  • Ensure a coherent package status for data freezes & VPTs, matching the defined styling
  • Escalate technical or package timing related issues to the project

Deliverables:
  • Package issue resolution on working level
  • Package release recommendation at VPT milestones
  • Package status reports to project milestones

Support for Vehicle level target setting in Vehicle architecture domain.
  • Master section definition and management.
  • support for safeguarding geometrical and legal layout requirements.
  • Lead packaging meetings and provide technical input.
  • Responsible to consolidate concept requirements model (technical input from complete vehicle package, design, and functional departments)
  • Responsible for performing package investigations, preparing package proposals, and induce solutions.
  • Support alignment of complete vehicle package requirement with functional departments
  • Responsible for evaluating geometrical changes and change requests.
  • Responsible for reporting and escalating package issues to SME.
  • Implementation of styling and technical requirements.
  • Achieve a coherent and compliant complete vehicle package within the development project. Management of the Vehicle Architecture team.
  • Ensure the requirements of manufacturability, production technology and overall vehicle appearance (exterior / interior) within the styling process from the early stages of product development through to styling confirmation.

Process Ownership:
  • Design process system metrics and deploy the same.
  • Appropriate Grievance redressal
  • Responsible for technical process audits and addressing respective changes.
  • Designing and deployment of Communication related to process/ system

Product Design Responsibilities:
  • Ensure conceptual vehicle dimensioning regarding target-oriented convergence of geometry, ergonomics, functional and module integration, styling technical convergence (STC) and statutory construction and testing requirements.
  • Responsible for technical supervision, management, and results of vehicle architecture scope of work within the project
  • Ensure achievement of vehicle architecture scope of work (package, ergonomics, legal/homologation requirements) according to agreed requirements
  • Timely escalation of potential target deviations & Risk.
  • Ensure availability of agreed concepts across disciplines: lead and participate in relevant vehicle architecture meetings.
  • Ensure conformance to internal and external requirements / directives.
  • Responsible for documentation and reporting within assigned scope of work.

Monitor the gaps for self and create a personal development plan in discussion with supervisor for plan on closure of gaps or building new skill
