The Role

Title: Sr. Business Development Manager

Reports To: Area Sales Manager

Supervises: N/A

Typical Duties:

  • Be responsible for achieving the sales target and key business index: sales volume, product mix, growth and account receivable cage, which has large impact to responsible province.
  • Be responsible for Master WD management and coordinate sales activities with Business Development Managers in responsible province.
  • Develop qualified WD to cover market distribution in responsible sales territory, develop partnership WD to achieve sustainable success. Mainly responsible for managing, developing WD in sales territory and the ensure the active rate of WD.
  • Closely work with WD and understand the WD needs to support WD to have sustainable business growth on Varta, help WD to work out monthly sell-through policy, monitor WD stock management, market explore, service improvement etc.
  • Be responsible for monitoring the financial capability of managing WD, the AR collection and provide support on solving the PD issue for the whole region.
  • Implement the retail program within the area to realize the deep penetrate the improve POS coverage
  • Visit and develop POS to help with area sales performance increase.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the sales forecasting data.
  • Maintain and develop healthy relationship with key customers, help the WD to set up growth strategy, sales team management, service capability improvement etc.
  • Provide the consulting regarding to product/service to fulfill the needs of customers, includes to provide product warranty to customers.
  • Provide the relevant basic training (product knowledge, inventory management and sales skill etc.) to WD sales team and retail clients for constantly improving the sales capacity for both WD and the retailers.
  • Implement company’s market and brand promotion plan, optimize resources input and output.
  • Conduct effective field visit to improve the area POS coverage.

Requirements:

  • College degree or above
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in automotive industry
  • Good business, financial and legal acumen.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze data to business conclusion.
  • Good problem solving ability.
  • Technical knowledge of lead-acid preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Significant travel, and non-traditional work hours.
