The Senior Advanced Software Architect will lead architecture, design governance, and technical execution for industrial IoT and edge-to-cloud platforms. This role is responsible for shaping scalable, secure, and resilient product architecture across device connectivity, edge services, cloud services, and companion applications, while partnering with product, engineering, and customer stakeholders.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:
1. Define and own end-to-end architecture for IoT and edge-to-cloud product capabilities across connectivity, data, platform, and application layers.
2. Translate business and product requirements into scalable architecture and technical roadmaps.
3. Establish architecture standards for modular services, APIs, integration contracts, and system interoperability.
4. Drive non-functional architecture decisions for scalability, reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.
5. Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural direction across multiple engineering teams.
6. Collaborate with Product Owners and program stakeholders on prioritization, scope, and technical feasibility.
7. Guide cloud and edge deployment architecture for robust operations across connected and constrained environments.
8. Define data architecture patterns across transactional, cache, messaging, and platform stores.
9. Promote engineering excellence through design best practices, code quality standards, and architecture governance.
10. Mentor senior and junior engineers, building long-term technical capability in the team.
Design and Architecture Skills
1. Strong experience designing distributed systems for industrial IoT, edge computing, and cloud-native environments.
2. Proven expertise in microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and API-first platform design.
3. Ability to produce and govern architecture artifacts including HLD, LLD, deployment views, interface contracts, and ADRs.
4. Strong architectural grounding in resiliency patterns, fault isolation, performance optimization, and high availability.
5. Security-by-design mindset with strong understanding of identity, access control, and secure communication models.
6. Strong system integration skills across OT and IT boundaries with clear focus on interoperability and lifecycle manageability.
7. Experience designing solutions for multi-tenant platforms
Technical Qualifications:
- Core Languages: Java, Go, JavaScript, Node.js, Ansible scripting, React
- Databases: Extensive and Deep knowledge in PostgreSQL, SQLite, Redis,
- Cloud Platform Exposure: Strong exposure to any of the cloud platform like Azure or GCP
- Identity and Access: Expertise in OAuth 2.0, Active Directory Federation, and RBAC
- Good exposure to Industrial Standard IoT Protocols like MQTT, AMQP, Web Sockets, HTTPS, etc.
- Strong knowledge in Edge and Kubernetes Ecosystem: Kubernetes (MicroK8s), Pod networking fundamentals, Exposure to OVN and LXD
- Usage of Build and Deployment Toolchain: Ansible, Cake build scripts, Docker multi-arch build workflows (ARM64 and AMD64), Octopus Deploy pipelines, PowerShell and Bash for bootstrap automation and offline package workflows
- Domain Expertise in IoT device lifecycle and edge-to-cloud telemetry platforms is preferred
Experience and Education
1. B.Tech or B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
2. 12+ years of software product engineering experience with significant architecture ownership.
3. Strong experience in industrial IoT, distributed platforms, and enterprise-grade software design.
4. Experience working in Agile or Scrum product development environments.
