The Role
Description
We are looking for a Finance Manager to serve as a strategic partner to our business leaders, driving performance through insightful analysis, strong financial stewardship, and effective leadership of a high-performing team. In this role, you will own budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for your supported business unit, helping leaders make informed decisions that support both near-term results and long-term growth.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of the supported business unit against long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring financial objectives are aligned with the business partner's strategy for growth and expansion.

  • Prepare and, when needed, present monthly financial reports, including:

  • Profit & loss statements

  • Forecast vs. budget analysis

  • Cash flow and key performance indicators

  • Provide variance analysis and commentary that clearly explains drivers, risks, and opportunities, along with recommended actions.

  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning, investment evaluation, and strategic initiatives.

Governance, Controls & Compliance
  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance, and standard financial procedures.

  • Partner with Accounting and Controllership teams to support accurate and timely close processes.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control in financial reporting and analysis.

Business Partnership & Strategy
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with business partners across operations, engineering, and corporate functions.

  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Help leaders and team members understand the bigger picture, including how individual projects and initiatives connect to operational strategy and enterprise goals.

  • Proactively anticipate partner needs and surface issues, trends, and opportunities before they become urgent.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align assumptions, share insights, and drive execution on key initiatives.

Leadership & Talent Development
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing:
  • Stretch assignments and visibility to senior leadership

  • Regular coaching, feedback, and career development discussions

  • Clear expectations around priorities and outcomes

  • Assist the team in prioritizing workload and focusing on the most value-added analysis and deliverables.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating GM behaviors, a commitment to personal development, and a focus on creating a positive, inclusive Workplace of Choice culture.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience (FP&A, business finance, corporate finance, or related areas).

  • 1+ years of experience managing or leading a team, including mentoring, coaching, or project leadership.

  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining financial models, performing complex analysis, and working with large data sets.

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for a business unit, function, or product line.

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or operations environments is a strong plus.

  • Background in a large, matrixed organization with exposure to cross-functional business partnership.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, communicate with senior leaders, and present complex information in a clear, concise manner.

  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of driving process improvements and business results.

Location: This is an Onsite role and requires that the selected employee report to the Springhill location 5 days per week.
