Purpose and Scope:

The Specialist, R&D System Support supports multiple processes related to access management and data model support for multiple systems in R&D, and interfaces with both other teams in DigitalX and select stakeholders and system users in R&D to ensure the smooth execution and monitoring of processes enabling work in R&D.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

R&D System Access Requests: is responsible for activities related to access management including granting access, modifying access for multiple systems used by R&D by internal using systems like ServiceNow and GAMS as well as R&D specific SharePoint sites and automation for request intake and processing.

R&D Supplier Access Requests: Responsible for supporting the onboarding of R&D supplier resources, facilitating, or providing access to various systems, e.g. Active Directory (AD), Astellas Virtual Desktop and others. This includes ensuring the R&D specific needs and supporting processes are seamlessly connected to relevant processes owned and executed by other teams in DigitalX. The system support specialist also interfaces directly with points of contacts from key suppliers to facilitate addressing of issues or escalations as necessary to ensure their ability to perform their work for Astellas as expected.

R&D Reference/master data management support: Responsible for processing certain clearly defined updates to key reference/master data in the CTMS.

Improvement & Optimization: Contribute to the optimization of supported processes with the goal of both increasing effectiveness and optimizing smooth integration of processes between DigitalX and R&D


Preferred Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of information technology, software development life cycles, and architectural frameworks. Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and software development tools is beneficial. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working either for a company providing services to the Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry, or working in an IT organization in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience working as part of global teams and for a global customer base.
