- Develop, implement, and optimize heat treatment and plating processes for metal components.
- Design and specify heat treat cycles and plating techniques based on material and performance requirements.
- Monitor process parameters to ensure quality and consistency.
- Troubleshoot process issues related to hardness, distortion, plating adhesion, and surface finish.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and R&D teams to support manufacturing and product development.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AMS, ASTM, ISO) and customer specifications.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for process non-conformances.
- Evaluate and select appropriate heat treating and plating vendors/suppliers.
- Support failure analysis and metallurgical investigations.
- Maintain accurate process documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
- Provide technical support for audits and customer visits.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Engineering Degree preferable in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace. Education required may be waived with related work experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the Special Process Manufacturing Industry.
- Technically competent with the ability to adapt to a changing business environment.
- Good people management and leadership skills.
- Effective communications skills and ability to interact with all levels.
- Good coaching and mentoring skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
