"I can succeed as a Solutions Engineering Senior Manager at Capital Group."

As a Solutions Engineering Senior Manager, you will be a key leader in the Growth Platforms (GP) team managing multiple Growth Platforms technical solution strategies and implementations. You will partner closely with software application teams, our enterprise architecture team, and drive change across the organization in collaboration with our Investment, Client and Operating Group stakeholders, sponsors, and leaders. You will establish and grow relationships with key parties across the enterprise to ensure the success of Capital Group's product strategy.

As a Solutions Engineering Senior Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • You will partner with senior level leadership to develop and fulfill the strategic vision and technology roadmaps. You will ensure alignment on delivery and launch of new and existing Capital Group products.
    • You will act as the primary point of ITG contact for Growth Platforms (GP) leadership.
    • You will effectively coordinate across ITG to support the successful execution of a product launch.
    • You will proactively collaborate with and assist other teams across ITG and the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) to ensure both accountability for and accomplishment of GP goals and the successful implementation of projects and initiatives.
    • You will lead across Application teams to increase the overall quality of systems, reduce time to value, and lower the total cost of ownership of solutions in support of GP scale and growth.
    • You will ensure ongoing communication to teams and oversight committees on involvement and progress of GP requirements and deliverables including updates on OKRs, MBRs, and QBRs.
    • You will maintain and are accountable for the overall health, scale, and growth of the GP and optimize the end-to-end solution stability and service.
    • You will utilize functional and technical expertise to lead others who are responsible for delivering domain capability.
    • You will partner with our Enterprise Change Office (ECO) to ensure Growth Platforms are aligned to ITG and business drivers and adhere to Capital Group project standards and methodologies.
    • You will collaborate with operational groups to create new or change existing operating and governance models to support GP as needed.
  • You will provide leadership to ensure effective and efficient ITG Growth Platforms department processes, budget, and staffing including:
    • Forecasts and managing GP budgets and strategies.
    • Forecasts, defining, and communicating resource plans and sourcing strategy to meet projected GP demands.
    • Ensuring adherence to ITG guidelines, practices, procedures, standards, and methodology within department.
    • Establishing and implementing GP departmental processes and practices in alignment with ITG standards.
    • Proactively identifying opportunities and incorporating changes to improve GP processes.
    • Developing effective workforce management strategies to identify and assign a range of skillsets (associate/vendor/managed service) to deliver current and future capability.
  • You will develop in-depth knowledge of the business area's portfolio of operations and technology ecosystem. This will include:
    • Keeping up with IT Industry trends and directions to provide perspective on potential technology solutions.
    • Maintaining an effective level of business and technical acumen to collaborate with business/ITG/EDO partners to understand GP needs, discuss technology and data opportunities and manage expectations.
    • Proactively identifying and influencing technology/data/processes risks, priorities, and opportunities.
  • You will select, develop, and maintain an effective team. This includes:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science. Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have 10+ years of systems experience with in the financial industry with a good understanding of technical infrastructure and technology ecosystems.
  • You have strong people leadership and mentoring abilities; you lead through influence and not through direction.
  • You have strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • You are well versed in navigating complexity and ambiguity and can effectively plan and manage outcome-based business objectives.
  • You have Technology and business savvy with end-to-end investment business knowledge.
  • You have a track record of driving cross-organizational large initiatives. You can seamlessly partner with Product, business users, Enterprise Data Office, Portfolio Architects, and other technology teams.
  • You have excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • You have experience in relationship building and networking at senior and executive levels.
  • You have deep experience in budget planning and monitoring experience.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $193,464-$328,889

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
