The main focus areas will be:
- Data Integration, Data Quality, Business Intelligence. The activity will be carried out in close coordination with the international Data Team, which develops and maintains the European Data Lake and Power BI infrastructure. The role will require hands-on involvement to implement what is needed for the Italian hub.
- Platform technical management for the strategic ERP of the Italian hub. The individual will act as a technical product manager, serving as a liaison between the Italian product owner and the overseas development team. The primary language is PHP, and communications will be in English. Internal development may also be required.
- Other potential development and data management projects, mainly related to the integration of newly acquired entities in the M&A process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with the international Data Team for the integration of corporate data platforms into the international Data Lake.
- Liaison and coordination with internal stakeholders and the international development team responsible for the evolution of company’s ERP.
- Manage data integration activities between corporate products, with particular focus on platforms coming from new acquisitions.
- Provide functional and technical support to users regarding software solutions.
- Hands-on development of internal software solutions, if necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Solid experience as a Data Engineer, including technological components such as Python, public cloud ecosystems, MPP databases, orchestration tools, and data quality.
- Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- PHP software development capabilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English: written and verbal communication activities will primarily be in English.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in using Power BI for creating dashboards and reports
- Knowledge of the insurance market.
