In This Role:
As a Software Engineer, you will apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and maintain software and systems that power complex applications across multiple industries. You will contribute to an existing codebase, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and be responsible for database management, full-stack development, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. The role offers the opportunity to work on both backend and frontend systems, including API development, authentication, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Modify, maintain, and optimize existing databases and database management systems.

  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions; specify identifiers and direct others in coding descriptions as needed.

  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope, limitations, and timelines.

  • Analyze project requests to determine database user needs and estimate required time and cost.

  • Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services using modern authentication protocols (JWT, OAuth).

  • Develop front-end applications using TypeScript with frameworks such as React or Angular.

  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes efficiently.

  • Apply best practices in debugging, unit testing (xUnit, Jest, Mocha), and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Follow software design principles (SOLID, design patterns) to ensure maintainable, scalable code.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience.

  • 5+ years of experience with C# / .NET Core, including REST APIs and Entity Framework.

  • 4+ years of experience with TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar.

  • 3+ years of experience with API integration and authentication (JWT, OAuth).

  • Strong SQL and database design skills.

  • Proficient with Git/version control, debugging, and performance optimization.

  • Knowledge of full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience at a large-scale technology company or enterprise environment.

  • Knowledge of VisualBasic or similar legacy systems.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.

  • Mentoring experience and ability to provide constructive feedback to peers.

  • Broad understanding of computer hardware and system-level software.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $91,000 to $101,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
