Job Description
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Wealth Management, Wealth Engagement Product division, you will be instrumental in an agile team, tasked with the development and delivery of top-tier technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role will encompass the implementation of crucial technology solutions spanning diverse technical fields and business functions, all aimed at bolstering the company's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Strong Technical skill in Java/J2EE , Spring , Springboot & AWS
- Conversant with UI frameworks - Angular, REACT, JavaScript
- Strong in RDBMS concepts; PL/SQL knowledge, ORM - Awareness and basic Linux/UNIX
- Hands-on experience on Intellij, Maven, BitBucket/GIT, Test Automation and JIRA
- Should be able to translate high level design to detail technical design and implementation
- Code Reviews - PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management & Exposure to web services (WSDL or WADL), concepts and implementation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Good to have knowledge of Cloud containers , CI/CD tools
- Good to have knowledge of Apache Kafka, or other messaging systems
