Shutterstock is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Front End, Analytics & Experimentation Enablement team in Ireland remote/hybrid. You’ll be part of a talented group of engineers who are passionate about building high-quality, scalable systems that deliver real value to our customers.
As a Senior Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the platforms that power our Front end sites like www.shutterstock.com, enhancing an Experimentation platform and our analytics capabilities across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other development teams to deliver solutions that are performant, reliable, and elegant.
What You’ll DoEnable teams - Work across the different shutterstock domains providing expertise across front-end, experimentation and analytics to enable teams to move quickly.
Solve difficult problems - Dive into complex problems to provide meaningful enhancements within the team's areas of responsibility.
Shape our architecture - Be involved in architectural and implementation decisions across shutterstocks web platforms and the team's areas of responsibility.
Collaborate - Work alongside product managers, designers, engineers and other stakeholders to make improvements to our web platform.
Implement - Work on implementation of features and enhancements within the scope of analytics, experimentation and our front-end platform.
Adopt - Investigate and adopt new technologies, tools, and processes that help improve our engineering productivity and product quality.
Grow - Working alongside a passionate group of strong engineers .
Extensive experience in front-end software development.
Expertise in analytics with technologies such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and hightouch.
Expertise in experimentation such as A/B testing using platforms such as statsig.
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, Base UI, Tailwind and Typescript.
Proven ability to dive into complex problems and provide well thought out solutions.
Highly proficient with debugging issues on the front end, using the likes of Chrome Dev Tools or similar.
Proficiency with Git and Github for source control and collaboration.
Great communication skills being able to describe complex problems and solutions to people with varying levels of technical expertise.
Provide thoughtful and constructive code reviews to improve code quality
Familiarity with agile development.
Bonus Skills
Familiarity with working on pipelines with technologies like Github actions.
Familiarity with working on a design system with technologies like Storybook.
Experience with Playwright or other similar testing tools.
Working knowledge of New Relic and how to monitor changes.
Experience of working on performant and accessible web applications.
Experience using data to dive into issues using data from Snowflake or other sources.
