About the role
As a Software Engineer on the Blockchain team, you will play a key role in architecting, building, and maintaining Paxos’ blockchain infrastructure and applications. You’ll use your deep technical expertise and hands-on skills to deliver secure and scalable solutions, collaborating closely across functions to help shape our technological direction and execute complex projects.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment.
- Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes.
About you
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions
- Strong expertise in building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs
- Experience with modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
- Track record of writing clean, maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage
- Strong understanding of security best practices and experience building secure systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex requirements into manageable tasks
- Experience with workflow engines and state management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and KYC/AML processes is a plus
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve how you work
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
