Software Developer - Golang

We are seeking a Software Developer with expertise in Golang development, a strong background in insurance domain applications, and hands-on experience in DevOps practices.

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining backend services using Golang under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help design and optimize databases to manage insurance-related data efficiently.
• Work with DevOps teams to understand CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).
• Participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization to ensure system reliability.
• Follow security best practices in API development and data protection to meet insurance compliance standards.
• Learn and contribute to microservices architecture and integrations with third-party insurance platforms.
• Collaborate with insurance domain experts to understand and contribute to applications supporting policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and other insurance workflows.

What skills the candidate will need to get the job done…

• 1+ years of Golang development experience in building enterprise applications.
• Basic understanding or interest in insurance workflows (policy, claims, underwriting) is a plus, but no prior experience required—we’ll teach you!
• Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) through coursework or projects is helpful, but proficiency is not expected.
• Curiosity about event-driven systems or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a bonus, but no prior experience needed.
• Eagerness to solve problems and collaborate in an agile team—your growth mindset matters most!
  
• Awareness of security principles (e.g., authentication, data protection) is nice to have, but we’ll guide you on compliance.
• Interest in learning API development (REST, GraphQL) and backend architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD, containers, cloud) is beneficial, but hands-on experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS/GCP is not required.

Nice to have…

• Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
  
• Knowledge of AI/ML in insurance applications (risk assessment, fraud detection, customer analytics).
  
• Familiarity with Elastic APM, or other monitoring tools.
